The boys at Wild Animal Park
Sunday we went to the the new Dino Mountain exhibit at the Wild Animal Park. It consisted of a few dozen life-like and life-sized moving, talking dinosaurs in their simulated habitat. It was full of swamps, mountains and tons of cool adventure and information! Crosby slept, ate and sweat his way through the exhibit and Quinn insisted on bringing two hats: his explorer/Safari hat and his Padres baseball hat as well as his mini T-rex. So, we got our "passport" and stamped it at all of the locations. Quinn loved them and was not one bit scared. He even stood face to face with one of the dinosaurs that spits "venom" ok, just water but back in the day apparently it was venom (think Jurassic Park) and he let it spray him. He was fascinated with the T-rex, of course, and we got some cute exploring photos of him checking it all out. Towards the end of the trip, it was topping 100 degrees so after checking out some cheetah cubs, walking through the safari area to see tigers, lions and elephants, we headed back home to the relief of cool indoors and afternoon naps...:)If you cant tell by the photos, Quinn hit a growth spurt and grew about 2 inches in a week I swear- from behind he looked like another child to me... :) If you come visit before middle of September, we will all head there for a visit- cheers!
